The First phase of the Indo-French Cultural exchange programme flagged off on 5th December when a team of 30 students with 3 of their teachers from St.Augustine’s, Angers, France visited Delhi Public School, Bangalore(North). They were given a warm welcome and the students stayed with their partners for a period of 15 days.

During their stay in Bangalore, they were taken to various heritage sites of Bangalore and Mysore, amusement parks and educational trips which enabled them to experience the vibrant tradition and culture of our country. They also attended Yoga sessions, workshops, dance, cookery and Sanskrit classes and interacted with students and teachers. The students also got an opportunity to wear Indian ethnic dresses, try Indian ethnic food and play games like cricket, football and basketball.

The French students and teachers dressed themselves up in Indian wear during the Farewell function which was held on 19th December 2017.The girls got their hands decorated with ‘Mehandi’ and were also seen spotting a ‘bindi’. They danced to the tune of Bollywood numbers and bid a tearful farewell to their Indian counterparts hoping to meet them soon in France.
