Sanskrit day was celebrated in Delhi Public School on the 3rd of August. The VIII and X graders presented the programme. The chief guest was our beloved head mistress Geeta ma’am and MR. Pramod Kamath from ShubamKarotiMythreyigurukula. These students from SKM converse in Sanskrit throughout. The programme started with explaining how important teachers are and all the great teachers and their students. It was continued with Bhagavad Gita shloka recitation by different Sanskrit students. There was also a yoga performance followed by a play by the VIII and X graders depicting the Mahabharata story of Dhruva nakshtra. This ended the DPS part of the programme. The programme was continued by the ShubamKarotiMythreyi students. Students had various activities like dance, poem& shloka recitation, songs, skit, Antakshari with the shlokas. This really gave all the Sanskrit students a new motivation to learn Sanskrit. These students were so confident in their speaking and presenting themselves. This truly gave the Sanskrit students a new inspiration to work towards the vast language. Students from this school are excelling in every stream and leading their life culturally. The programme was ended by a patriotic song by the same students. Saplings were gifted by Geeta ma’am to the chief guest and all the teachers of the gurukula. The programme was ended with happy memories and a very beautiful inspiration to everyone.
