Delhi Public School Bangalore North hosted its 8th Annual Online Symposium from July 29th to 31st, 2025, on the theme of Intersectionality and Inclusive Education.
Day one began with an inaugural address by the Principal, Mrs. Manju Balasubramanyam, followed by insights from Ms. Geetha Kandaraji on DPSBN’s inclusive model aligned with NEP 2020. Dr. Masood Ali Khan emphasized digital inclusivity and shared responsibility. Mr. Himanshu Gupta (Secretary, CBSE) applauded DPSBN’s work with 700+ CWSN and introduced policy-level changes on intersectionality. Keynote speaker Dr. Herminder Channa stressed identity, healing, and cultural values like Whakapapa. Experts like Prof. Padma Sarangapani and Dr. Ankur Madan discussed adapting education to diversity, emphasizing girls with disabilities and culturally responsive pedagogy. A powerful panel on “Language, Learning, and Identity” stressed empathy, affirmations, and accessible communication.
Day two themed Voices Amplified, focused on advocacy. Dr. Aloka Guha highlighted policy shaping through collective efforts. A dynamic panel featuring voices from therapy, media, HR, and analytics advocated everyday advocacy and trauma-informed education. Dr. Manoj Kumar addressed the need for mental health literacy. A parent-student panel underscored collaborative well-being, emotional safety, and realistic expectations.
Day three likely continued the discourse with a focus on early childhood inclusion.The symposium concluded with a call to action: Inclusion must be a continuous, conscious practice involving educators, families, and policymakers. Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and supported across all identities and abilities.
